We are excited to announce the installation of a new self-service utility bill payment kiosk. The touch screen kiosk is located in the lower level of the City building next to the elevator at 233 South Main Street and will enable customers to make payments using cash, check or card safely and securely, through contactless services. The kiosk pay station will allow the customer to review their balance using an account number, make a payment, and receive a receipt immediately.
COVID created unforeseen service issues. As a result, the City wanted to demonstrate our commitment to accessibility, quality service, and safety for our customers. We wanted to provide our residents a payment option that is more convenient for making payments in-person without facing unnecessary delays as well as providing contactless service.
The kiosk will be accessible 24/7, allowing residents to make payments outside of the 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Finance office hours. It is outfitted with a scanner that will read the account information from the customer’s bill OR the customer can key the information in directly. Customers will need to have their paper bill for barcode scanning or account number and customer number when using the kiosk.
In addition to the kiosk, the City continues to work towards an improved online payment portal with an anticipated go-live later this winter.
