Annual Community Garage Sale

The Annual Community Garage Sale will be held Friday, June 5th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 6th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, June 7th from 1 p.m.to 5 p.m. Every year we print out a list of those that have signed up, including three items they will have at their sale, and a map showing the locations of the garage sales. It isn’t necessary to sign up, but if you do it will help people find something they might be looking for.

There are a couple of changes this year. You will not be able to stop by the City Building to sign up and we will not be providing streamers and balloons to help advertise your sale. To be placed on the list we need your address, three items you will have at your sale, and the day(s) that you will hold your sale Email this information to cityhall@monroeohio.org. We must have the information by May 30th to have sufficient time to put together the listing and map. The listing and map will be available on our website www.monroeohio.org, Facebook, and copies in the lower level of the City Building near the Police Department.

The Ohio Department of Health strongly recommends that you take the following actions when having and/or attending these sales.

Practice social distancing. Place posters encouraging social distancing for customers to see upon arrival and while shopping. Set up tables and chairs within 6 feet apart. Use heavy-duty table to form a flow for customers to follow throughout the sale. Ask customers to stand in a line, while spread apart, during high traffic times. Clean all tables and chairs several times throughout the day. Make sure all merchandise is washed and dried and/or wiped down with a disinfectant product before placing on a table or chair for sale. Wipe down all tables and chairs using disinfectant at the end of the day or in the morning before the next day of the sale starts. Wear masks and disposable gloves at all times during the sale. Have hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol on tables or other places for customers to use.
