Local Economic Development Incentives Rural Enterprise Zone (REZ): Monroe offers rural enterprise zone tax abatements to qualifying companies relocating or expanding in Monroe. The program allows up to 75% real and personal property tax abatement for a period up to 10 years.

Community Reinvestment Area (CRA): Monroe offers community reinvestment areas tax abatements to qualifying companies relocating or expanding in Monroe. The program allows for up to 100% real property tax abatement for a period up to 15 years. No personal property tax exemption is possible under the CRA program.

Tax Increment Financing (TIF): Tax increment financing is available for certain public infrastructure improvements.
