I have lived in Monroe my entire life. I graduated from Lemon-Monroe High School in 1969. I served in the Ohio National Guard from 1970 to 1976. I was a volunteer firefighter for the Monroe Fire Department from 1969 to 1993 and I was a Monroe Police Officer from 1985 to 1998. I became a member of the City Council in 1998 and became Mayor in 2004. I married my beautiful wife, Jenny, in 1975. Jenny and I have 6 children: Joe (Suzanne), Jake (Tiffanie), Sadie (Mike Etter), John (Becki), Gracie, and David. We are also proud grandparents of Caden, Caroline, Jillian, Brynn, Taylor, Sam, Ava, Ashton, Layla, Euluah, Alexes, Kailyn, and Lee. I retired from Worthington Steel after 29 years and I currently work for the Butler County Auditor's office in Hamilton, Ohio and I am proud to say that I am the Mayor of Monroe. I enjoy representing our great City. Monroe has always had a big place in my heart and always will. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and tending to my garden.
