I have lived in Monroe my entire life. I graduated from Lemon-Monroe High School in 1969. I served in the Ohio National Guard from 1970 to 1976. I was a volunteer firefighter for the Monroe Fire Department from 1969 to 1993 and I was a Monroe Police Officer from 1985 to 1998. I became a member of the City Council in 1998 and became Mayor in 2004. I married my beautiful wife, Jenny, in 1975. Jenny and I have 6 children: Joe (Suzanne), Jake (Tiffanie), Sadie (Mike Etter), John (Becki), Gracie, and David. We are also proud grandparents of Caden, Caroline, Jillian, Taylor, Sam, Ava, Ashton, Layla, Euluah, Alexes, and Kailyn. I retired from Worthington Steel after 29 years and I currently work for the Butler County Auditor's office in Hamilton, Ohio and I am proud to say that I am the Mayor of Monroe. I enjoy representing our great City. Monroe has always had a big place in my heart and always will. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and tending to my garden.

I was born March 17, 1963, and I was raised in Maineville, Ohio. I moved to Monroe in 1987, after meeting my wife Carol, whom I have been married to since August of 1988. She has been a teacher at Monroe High School for most of the time we have been married. We had our first son, Bobby, in August of 1989, and our second son, Stephen, in June of 1992. Some of my fondest memories to date, are the times I have spent coaching my sons and their friends, and sponsoring teams in the youth sports and high school organizations.
I am in truck sales with Worldwide Equipment of Ohio, Inc. in Evendale, Ohio and have been associated with the trucking industry since I was a child, thanks to my father, who was a small trucking company owner when I was growing up. I have been fortunate enough to make a living doing something I enjoy for most of my life. I have been nationally recognized as one of the best in the business of truck repair, both for hands on repair skills and for management skills as it pertains to the operation of a truck dealership repair facility. I hope to be able to use these skills to help move Monroe through its troubled times and on to greater things. The majority of the best times in my life revolve around this town, and I am honored to have been chosen to serve on City Council by the residents and as its Vice Mayor by other members of Council.

At 39 years of age, I am the newest member of City Council. I have lived in the City of Monroe since 2003 and have been an active member of the community ever since. I spent my younger years on the west side of Cincinnati where I attended parochial grade school, high school, and college. I am currently employed as a mechanical engineer producing military electronics and equipment.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Ann, for the past twenty years and we have three wonderful children: Patrick - a 2009 Monroe High School graduate and current Army Airborne Ranger; Emily - a sophomore at Monroe High School; and Kelsey - a Freshman also at Monroe High School.
I spend my free time enjoying the company of my friends and family, computer programming and attending the kids' various sports activities.
My intention, as a member of the Monroe City Council, is to help narrow the communications gap between the City government and the citizens, help create even more exciting events for our City to enjoy, and truly listen and do the will of the people.
I am honored that the citizens of Monore instilled their faith and trust in me.

I graduated from Madison High School in 1979. I attended Miami University and graduated with a degree in Nursing. My wife Vicki and I married in 1989 and have a daughter Ashley who was born in 1991. We moved to Monroe in January 1994 and still live in the same house. In 2001, I began working for a company that owns/operates skilled nursing facilities throughout Ohio. I have worked as a Director of Nursing, a clinical consultant and currently as an RN/Quality Assurance/Risk Manager. In my spare time I enjoy biking, lifting weights and skiing.
I am honored to have been elected to serve the community. I believe my experiences with operating and improving nursing facilities will be a benefit to serving on Council. My goals are to improve our relationship with neighboring communities, to attract developments that fit into our vision as a community, and to preserve vital services, while being fiscally responsible. I will bring a fair minded logical approach to the job, execute it with a purpose and represent all residents, while keeping a clear vision into the future.
