On October 15, 2011, Council approved the acceptance of bids submitted by Double Jay Construction for the construction of the landscape enhancements as depicted on the top banner of our website.  The OKI Regional Council of Governments approved the expenditure of $750,000 for the improvements that will create an attractive and defining front door for the City.  This is a major step in the direction of redefining who we are as a City and making our interchange more attractive to business development.  Bids came in lower than estimated.  Construction will begin later this year and completion is expected to be completed by mid 2012.
