The Monroe Police Department Auxiliary



The Monroe Police Auxiliary is made up of civilian’s volunteers appointed by the Chief of Police to assist the Police Department. The Auxiliary members are graduates of the Monroe Citizen Police Academy and other training. The Auxiliary personnel assist the Department, allowing Patrol Officers to effectively spend more time patrolling the city. Auxiliary members assist by coordination of the citizen police academy, transporting patrol vehicles to and from vehicle maintenance locations, traffic assistants at parades and community events, police training exercises, finger printing the public and in many other ways.
