After mapping the accident site, we will generate a scaled site diagram that accurately depicts the accident scene. We will insert scaled vehicles at the point-of-impact and point-of-rest. All analysis relevant dimensions will be shown including skid distance, roll/tumble distance and post and pre-impact distances and angles. These diagrams are very useful for your analysis as well as reconstruction reports and depositions. We also produce high resolution courtroom exhibits for time of trial.

Generally site diagrams are portrayed 2-dimensionally. All detail of the site topography (roadway crown, % grade, etc) will be shown on the diagram. Multiple angles can be made that show a particular detail of interest.

Roll-over drawings are typically shown with the vehicle positioned every 1/4 roll. A detailed view can be shown to explain vehicle to roadway contact (see "zoom detail" below) Evidence such as rim gouges, fluid stains and broken glass reveal the vehicles position and orientation - all of which can be shown on a high-resolution diagram.

Utilizing a total station for accident site inspections assures that precise scaled diagrams are generated for sensitive analysis such as conservation of momentum. Exhibit below will determine the point-of-impact "POI" and the point(s)-of-rest "POR" from the site investigation. We will perform exemplar vehicle inspections for damage profiles, vehicle mass and center-of-gravity "CG" location. Tire marks and roadway gouges reveal the approach angles, so all that is left is to plug the numbers off the diagram into the formula.
