The City of Monroe Water Utility Department is responsible for the safe operation of the City's water treatment and distribution facilities. The City currently operates one water treatment facility which is currently producing about 370,000 gal/ day of the 890,000 consumed by our residents and businesses alike. Our distribution system consists of 416,000 linear feet of water main, four water towers, over 4,000 service connections as well as fire hydrants.

The water utilities daily responsibilities include equipment repair, meter installations, meter readings, delinquent shut offs, water related inspections, quality and regulatory testing along with regulatory reporting to the Ohio EPA.
