City of Monroe, Ohio

The Mound Cemetery Association was organized in 1859 under special charter of the statutes of Ohio passed February 24, 1848. The Village of Monroe deeded the Mound Cemetery to the Lemon Township Board of Trustees on May 19, 1941 to manage and maintain. In the mid 1990's the responsibility of the Mound Cemetery was given back to the City of Monroe. Today, there are ten sections with plots still available.

Single Grave - $350.00 for a resident of Monroe

$700.00 for a non-resident

$175.00 for resident Veteran

Opening and Closing Fee - $400 on weekdays and $500 on weekends and holidays.

Opening and Closing for Infant Grave $100 on weekdays and $150 on weekends and holidays.

Urn burial - $100 on weekdays and $150 on weekends and holidays.

Foundations for monuments are $.40 per square inch.
