Parks
The City of Monroe has five designated parkland sites ranging in size and amenities. Some of these areas are used throughout the year by the local sports organizations for soccer, football, and baseball. Below you will find the location and some information concerning these areas. Any questions can be directed to Gina Hugar at 539-7374.

Disc Golf Rules

Community Park – Community Park is located on South Main Street. Reservation of the two shelter houses can be made by contacting Gina Hugar at 539-7374. You can also complete the Reservation of Park Facilities form and mail it, along with the required deposit, on the address listed at the top of the form.
Oaklawn Park – Oaklawn Park is located on Oaklawn Drive in the Whispering Oaks Subdivision off of Todhunter Road. You can enjoy an afternoon or warm evening on the swings with your children.
SE Corner of State Route 63 and Main Street – The southeast corner of State Route 63 and Main Street is passive space. In December you want to be sure to visit the area to see the beautifully lit City Christmas Tree.
Baker Sports Complex – Baker Sports Complex is located on North Main Street and is named after Baker-Monroe Properties who donated the 55.377 acres to the City of Monroe to be used for recreational purposes focusing on sports field uses. This property is part of the City’s Park Master Plan and will be developed in the future.

Monroe Crossings Park
– Monroe Crossings Park is located at the southeast corner of State Route 4 and State Route 63. This 27.551 acres of parkland was donated to the City by H. T. Investments to be used for recreational purposes focusing on both sports field uses and passive recreational amenities. This property will be developed in the future.
