I graduated from Madison High School in 1979.  I attended Miami University and graduated with a degree in Nursing. My wife Vicki and I married in 1989 and have a daughter Ashley who was born in 1991.  We moved to Monroe in January 1994 and still live in the same house.   In 2001, I began working for a company that owns/operates skilled nursing facilities throughout Ohio.  I have worked as a Director of Nursing, a clinical consultant and currently as an RN/Quality Assurance/ Risk Manager.  In my spare time I enjoy biking, lifting weights and skiing.
I am honored to have been elected to serve the community.  I believe my experiences with operating and improving nursing facilities will be a benefit to serving on council.  My goals are to improve our relationship with neighboring communities, to attract developments that fit into our vision as a community, and to preserve vital services, while being fiscally responsible.   I will bring a fair minded, logical approach to the job, execute it with a purpose and represent all residents, while keeping a clear vision into the future.

I was born March 17, 1963, and I was raised in Maineville, Ohio. I moved to Monroe in 1987, after meeting my wife Carol, whom I have been married to since August of 1988. She has been a teacher at Monroe High School for most of the time we have been married. We had our first son Bobby, in August of 1989, and our second son, Stephen in June of 1992. Some of my fondest memories to date, are the times I have spent coaching my sons and their friends, and sponsoring teams in the youth sports and high school organizations.

I am a fleet superintendent for LGR Trucking Company, Inc. in West Chester, Ohio. I have been associated with the trucking industry since I was a child, thanks to my father, who was a small trucking company owner when I was growing up. I have been fortunate enough to make a living doing something I enjoy for most of my life. I have been nationally recognized as one of the best in the business of truck repair, both for hands on repair skills and for management skills as it pertains to the operation of a truck dealership repair facility. I hope to be able to use these skills to help move Monroe through its troubled times and on to greater things. The majority of the best times in my life revolve around this town, and I am honored to have been chosen to serve on City Council.

My wife Deborah and I have lived in Monroe since June of 2001. I have worked in the IT field for over 15 years. I have 2 children, Zack and Emily attending Ohio State. I grew up in Greenville, Ohio and after graduating I joined the USAF.  I served for 4 years and reached the rank of E-5 (Staff Sgt).  Having grown up in a small town, we decided to make Monroe our home. Here in Monroe we have been able to get to know our neighbors and get involved in the community. We are very blessed to live here.

My vision for our community is one of common sense and doing the right thing for our friends and neighbors. Looking out for those in your community strengthens us all. I would encourage everyone to see how you can volunteer. Using common sense is the key to success in the running of our local government. If it does not make sense then why would we do it?  Simple questions I ask. How is this good for Monroe? Is the cost worth the results? Can we do this better?

If you have questions or concerns over the direction your Council is moving our City let me know. I am willing to listen.

I have resided in the City of Monroe since November of 2001. My husband, Denis, and I have been happily married 15 years.  My interests are gardening and reading and being involved in Golden Retreiver Rescue and Adoption of Needy Dogs (GRRAND).

My goals for the City of Monroe are to achieve fiscal stability, ensure the future use of proper budgeting and accounting methods, and to establish a longterm vision for the City's future.

I encourage all Monroe citizens to become involved in our community, either through the City, the school, or through other local clubs and organizations.  In a small city such as ours, each person has the opportunity to make an impact.
