Water Distribution in Monroe
The City of Monroe Water Utility consists of three water towers, over 4,600 meters, 930 fire hydrants, and almost 98 miles of water main. The Water Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water distribution infrastructure in Monroe and for the inspection and testing of new water main installed during construction.
The City of Monroe purchases drinking water in bulk from Butler County Water & Sewer, who receives water from the City of Hamilton and the Greater Cincinnati Water Works. Report a Main Break 24 hours a day by contacting the Monroe Police Department nonemergency line at (513) 539-9234. During business hours, water main breaks can also be reported to the Public Works Department at (513) 727-8953.
