Monroe is bordered to the west by the Great Miami River, and five of its tributary streams—Coldwater Creek, Gregory Creek, Dick's Creek, Shaker Creek and Millers Creek—run through and around the city. This map of Monroe shows areas of high elevation (in light colors) and areas of low-lying elevation (in dark blue).
